It is wonderful to hear the birds in full song now and the canal (Mon & Brecon) is starting to get some activity on it now. Our Forsythia Bushes are really starting to flower too now,
Almost at the end of my remaining two courses now. Finished the website I have been building for our WI (www.littlemillwi.co.uk) as part of my course. Adding more photos and news will be an ongoing thing but the basics are done. Also Graphics and Desk Top Publishing course assignments are almost finished just doing workbook on how I made the new business cards, Timbertops colour brochure and the new banner for the stand that I am hoping to get made up. Been hectic but hopefully worth while.
Apart from that we’ve both been very, very busy in the workshop these last few days, it is amazing how much you can get done when the sun shines and British Summertime begins.
Been making replica spare bobbins for customers for the Peacock, Haldane, Dryad, Original Rappard Wee Peggy and Timbertops wheels. Also repairing a few spinning wheels and this week also saw part of a loom being repaired too. As for the reconditioned wheels, been busy working on an Ashford Traditional, two Westburys, a Hand-Made wheel, Louet S10, a french wheel and I still have to get started on the Norwegian!
More importantly, since we got the final lot of metalwork, Clive has really got stuck in with making the first batch of Thurmaston 24’s. We are progressing!! Feel we have turned a major corner! (If you know what I mean)
We have to help out Family this week but I think it will do us good to have a few days break with our Grandsons before the show schedule starts.
The Folksy shop will be on holiday mode for a few days but will be back open again in time for our return on the 12th.
Starting to get a bit excited about our mini holiday now, better go and finish packing. Bye for now.
