What a week …proud to be a Mum (and Mamgu/Granny) !

Well this has been a very busy week in the workshop but also a week to feel proud of my Family.

We are lucky to have 5 Grandsons, 3 Step Grandsons and 1 Step Grandaughter and 1 Step Gt Grandson (and another on the way). I am proud of all 9 of my Grandchildren for the different things they have achieved and this week had the joy of finding out that one of my Grandsons, Emrys, has just been awarded the Chief Scout Gold Award.

Then today daughter Sian, who has been studying for a degree in Theology at Durham University and is in placement in a Parish in the North Yorkshire dales, took her first solo service (in robes) today by  leading a Mothering Sunday service at Arkengarthdale. It was a Family friendly service with a great craft activity for the children to take home! Thereby combining her love of the church with her love of crafts.

Then daughter Lindsay took part in her first ever Half Marathon (in Alloa) finishing in a brilliant time of just over 2½hrs. She was expecting to complete it in nearer 3 hours. In fact she was so quick that our S-in-L Tam and two of our Grandsons went to see her on part of the route arriving at 12.05 expecting her to go passed nearer to 12.30 only to find she had already gone past at 12 noon!

Wow what a lovely week and a clever family! So proud of them all!
